Golden Bear Lodge set for November opening

The Golden Bear Lodge & Spa of Cap Cana, inspired on the life of golfer Jack Nicklaus, will be the first of the Zoetry Collection of luxury hotels managed by the US hotel chain AmResorts.
The boutique resort, located in the Cap Cana tourism and residential development, is scheduled for a 1 November 2009 opening. It seeks to cater to discerning travelers and to offer fantastic tropical golfing for vacationers of all ages
It is set between the championship Punta Espada golf course and the Las Iguanas course, under construction. Punta Espada has been a stop on the PGA Tour’s Champions Tour in 2008 and 2009.
Alex Zozaya, AMResorts’ CEO and president; John Mullen, chairman of Apple Leisure Group; and Ricardo Hazoury, president of Cap Cana’s board and vice president of the Abrisa Group of the DR, joined Nicklaus at his Philadelphia offices to make the announcement.
