Golf Magazine & Teeth of the Dog

Golf Magazine’s September 2009 issue has listed Casa de Campo’s Teeth of the Dog as the 8th in the “50 Greatest Courses of the last 50 Years.” In the October 2009 issue of the magazine’s “Top 100 Golf Courses in the World,” it is ranked at #42.

Golf Digest, in its October 2009 issue ranks Casa de Campo as #32 in the “75 Best Golf Resorts in North America”. In each case the Teeth of the Dog is the only course in the Caribbean to appear in these rankings.

Attracting golfers from all around the globe, this classic Pete Dye masterpiece – after 38 years – still never ceases to amaze the young and old, pros and amateurs, experts and critics.

Casa de Campo is the only course with seven holes skirting the Caribbean. Built entirely by hand, the Teeth of the Dog opened in 1971 with 6,888 yards and a par 72-layout.

Pete Dye credits its creation to divine intervention, ?I built eleven holes and God built seven” Dye has said, referring to the seven captivating seafront holes.
