Independencia Cycling Tour

Bruno Langlois from Canada’s Spidertech Team has won the first stretch of the 31st Independence Cycling Tour, a bicycle race that takes cyclists all around the DR. He clocked in at 2:49.13 after completing the 125km stretch. 25 teams are competing in the Tour. Dominican Osvaldo Capellan was just seconds behind, clocking in at 2:49.18.

Stage 1 (Sun, 21 Feb): 125 kms. Closed Circuit. Av. 27 de Febrero, Av. Luperon, Av. J. F. Kennedy, Av. Nunez de Caceres

Stage 2 (Mon, 23 Feb): 148 kms. Santo Domingo, San Pedro Macoris, Santo Domingo.

Stage 3 (Tues, 24 Feb): 135 kms. Santo Domingo, San Francisco de Macoris.

Stage 4 (Wed, 25 Feb): 153 kms. Moca, Santiago, Navarrete, Santiago, Jarabacoa.

Stage 5 (Fri, 26 Feb): A 115 kms: La Vega, Bonao, Villa Altagracia, Santo Domingo. B 10 kms: Against the clock at the Mirador del Sur Park in Santo Domingo.

Stage 6 (Thurs, 27 Feb): 136 kms. Closed Circuit. Av. Prolongacion 27 de Febrero

Stage 7 (Sat, 28 Feb): 140 kms. San Cristobal, Bani, Azua, Bani

Stage 8 (Sun, 2 March): 120 kms. Closed Circuit. Av. V Centenario.
