ANJE gets PRD to accept debates

The president of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), Miguel Antonio Roig confirmed yesterday that the four candidates from the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) have confirmed their participation in the ANJE debates. They are Milagros Ortiz Bosch, the candidate for the Senate seat for the National District, Alfredo Pacheco, candidate for the mayor’s job in the city, Orlando Jorge Mera, the candidate for the Senate seat from Santiago and Gilberto Serulle, candidate for the mayor’s post in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros.

ANJE has organized the electoral debates since 1998. “As an association, we feel that with the acceptance by the candidates to a debate, they are showing the citizenry their commitment to the country, to carry out initiatives that commit them in a public manner during the electoral process”, said Roig.

The ANJE president said that he is waiting for the answer from the PLD. For the PLD, they have invited Reinaldo Pared Perez, the candidate for the Senate from the National District, Roberto Salcedo, who is seeking re-election to the mayor’s job in the capital, Julio Cesar Valentin, the candidate for the Senate for Santiago and Jose Enrique Sued, who is also seeking re-election to his mayoral post.
