The District Attorney for the National District confirmed that Colombian German Eduardo Duque Garcia is under investigation as an alleged partner of Arturo del Tiempo Marques of the Torre Atiemar, now intervened by the judicial authorities.
On 2 March the Spanish authorities seized 1,200 kgs of cocaine from Del Tiempo Marques. Duque Garcia, who is the alleged owner of a money exchange house, is being held in the jail at the Palace of Justice in Ciudad Nueva. The District Attorney Alejandro Moscoso Segarra told reporters that he would be asking that Duque Garcia be sent to jail while his case is investigated.
Moreover, he said that he would continue investigating and identifying possible partners of Del Tiempo Marques, who is tied to a major gang of drug traffickers and money launderers.
According to information obtained by Diario Libre, Duque Garcia has a criminal record.
Hoy newspaper reports that the authorities have been going over the apartment building, which is now under the control of the District Attorney’s office. DNCD officials also searched an apartment that was said to be Del Tiempo’s, and there they seized three luxurious vehicles — two Lexus SUVs and a Porsche Cayenne.
