Exports up 11.8%

The Center for Exports & Investments (CEI-RD) says that exports in the first half of the year are up 11.8% compared to last year. Exports from January to June 2010 totaled US$2,499.89 million compared to US$2,235.33 million for the same period last year, or US$264.56 more. CEI-RD reports that traditional exports (tobacco, sugar, coffee, and cacao) were up 31%, for US$214.99 million, and 8.6% of exports.
