The Best Sommelier of the World competition, organized by the Worldwide Sommeliers Association (WSA) will take place in Santo Domingo from 11 to 18 October. The event is held every 2 years. In Santo Domingo, Thomas Sartori, is organizing the event. Participating countries are Germany, Israel, New Zealand, France, England, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Spain, Cuba, Hungary and the European Union.
The Worldwide Sommelier Association (WSA) is an association of world sommeliers, established under the auspices of Associazione Italiana Sommelier. Its goals are to promote wine and food culture by bringing together under one banner the most renown and acclaimed associations already established around the world.
