The Central Bank reports that the inflation rate in December was 0.92%, bringing the annual rate of inflation for 2010 to 6.24%, which is within the 6-7% range established in the Stand-By Arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The inflation rate was fueled by price increases in transport, petroleum imports and electricity, which accounted for 44.4% of inflation. Increases in food prices accounted for 27%.
