Polon Munoz dies

The only Dominican ever to have served as a member of the International Olympic Committee, Engineer Roque Napoleon (Polon) Munoz died on Saturday. He was 83. He was known for his defense of Olympic ideals and the national games. He was also known for his struggles against corruption in the granting of government construction contracts.
