The Organizing Commission of the PRD Convention issued its sixth and final bulletin on Friday. The numbers show that former President Hipolito Mejia led with 517,250 votes, for 53.44% and former PRD presidential candidate Miguel Vargas received 450,650 votes, or 46.56%. Mejia led in 21 provinces, reports Diario Libre.
The results are still disputed by Miguel Vargas, who complains that 200,000 PLD members voted in the primary.
