The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) reports the arrest of a Russian woman booked to travel to Moscow taking a Transaero flight at the Punta Cana International Airport. She was arrested with 19 packages of cocaine adhered to her body. The woman, who was identified as 23-year old Anastasia Zashchipkina, had arrived in the country several days earlier. She will be tried in La Altagracia province. The counter-narcotics agency suspects the detainee is part of a network that sends cocaine and heroin to Russia, from where the flow of tourists has grown in recent times, as reported in Listin Diario.
