The Dominican Republic defeated Panama 92-68 on Monday in the second round robin of the FIBA Tournament of the Americas continuing this week in Mar de Plata, Argentina. The tournament is a qualifier for the 2012 Olympics. The first and second place winners get a slot to play in the London Olympics.
In the victory, key player Edgar Sosa suffered a fracture and had to be hospitalized.
