City residents in Santo Domingo now have the option of flying through the sky on a zipline, up till now only available in resort areas. Senator Reynaldo Pared Perez (National District-PLD) has set up a family business based on a zipline experience he had in Brazil. The new business, Zipline Park Extreme Adventure is located on the outskirts of Santo Domingo. It offers zipline, bungee jumping, trampoline jumping, paintball, soccer, basketball, tennis, wall climbing, batting practice, bicycle trails, table games, a pool and children’s playground. Admission prices range from RD$400 per individual adult (RD$200 per child), RD$1,330 adults with lunch included to RD$2,500 for a family, depending on the activities chosen. Children pay about half price. It is located off Km 22 on the Duarte Highway to Villa Altagracia.
