Former President Hipolito Mejia, who polls rate the highest into the 2012 presidential election, announced a tour of European cities to campaign for the expat Dominican vote for him. He departs on Friday for a two-week European tour. Mejia will travel to Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands, visiting cities with large Dominican emigre communities.
