The Cirque du Soleil will perform one of their shows in Santo Domingo for the first time ever. Their Dralion show, on tour in the United States and Puerto Rico this summer, is described as the fusion of the 3,000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the Cirque du Soleil’s multidisciplinary approach, drawing its inspiration from Eastern philosophy and its eternal quest for harmony between humans and nature. The show’s name is derived from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon, symbolizing the East, and the lion, symbolizing the West. The show will open at the Palacio de los Deportes. It is presented by SD Concerts from Thursday 27 October to Sunday 30 October. Tickets are RD$1,500, RD$3,000, RD$4,000 and RD$7,000.
