Apple Vacations has announced new non-stop flights to La Romana, Dominican Republic from JFK International Airport for the next year through October 2012. The flights on JetBlue Airways will depart on Saturdays and Wednesdays from 14 January through 24 October 2012, with convenient morning departures and afternoon returns.
JetBlue competes with American Airline departures by offering the first checked-bag free, and seat-back TVs with DIRECTV and Sirius/XM Radio.
Apple Vacations is offering three, four and seven-night stays at a choice of six resort hotels in the area, including the Dreams (owned by an Apple Vacations affiliate), Iberostar, Bahia Principe and Barcelo.
“Until now, La Romana was available via an hour-and-a-half transfer from Punta Cana,” said Timothy Mullen, co-president of Apple Vacations. “We’re very happy to offer our customers the convenience of non-stops directly into La Romana International Airport. Now, even vacationers who can only get away for a few days can enjoy a convenient, affordable escape to this world-class destination.”
To launch the flight, Apple Vacations is having a supersale with introductory prices for three to seven- night stays at hotels in the area. The sale ends 24 November.
