Johanna Sambucci, born in the Dominican Republic to a Dominican mother and Italian father, is the new Miss New York. She will compete in the USA pageant for a chance to represent the country in the Miss Universe contest. On her own blog she explains she is a model but is also finishing up her masters degree in Business Administration and wants to turn her love of fashion into her own chain of boutiques one day. The Dominican Republic’s only Miss Universe, Amelia Vega has done the same opening boutiques in Miami.
Miss New York is 22 years old and 5’10” tall.
