Santo Domingo has a new direct connection to Paris on board Air Caraibes. The airline is competing with Air France’s daily flights to Charles De Gaulle International Airport in Paris. The French airline, which also connects Santo Domingo with Guadeloupe and Martinique, will be flying the Santo Domingo-Paris (Orly) route. The airline will operate A330 airplanes and seeks to compete with enhanced meals and in-flight service, as well as luggage allowance. The airline’s main base is at the Pointe-a-Pitre International Airport in Guadeloupe with a secondary hub at Le Lamentin Airport in Fort-de-France, Martinique.
Flights are scheduled from Paris to Santo Domingo from 25 March to 21 June, and from 6 August to 9 December 2012. From Santo Domingo to Paris, from 25 March to 5 August and 10 September to 23 December.
