Central Electoral Board (JCE) president Roberto Rosario has announced that the JCE will distribute RD$1.3 billion pesos to the political parties this week.
80% of the money will be given to the ruling PLD, the main opposition PRD and the PRSC, and the other 20% to the remaining parties.
The JCE said that the PRD could authorize a person, with the appropriate qualifications, to participate in the checking of the electoral roll.
