Denver to Punta Cana, direct on Frontier Airlines

Frontier Airlines has announced its new nonstop seasonal service between Denver (DEN) and Punta Cana (PUJ) starting 9 June and continuing until 4 August 2012. The non-stop flights will operate on Saturdays.

“With the launch of service to Punta Cana, Frontier will be the only carrier offering nonstop service from Denver to the Dominican Republic,” said David Siegel, president and chief executive officer of Frontier. “We’re confident that travelers will love our low-fare, customer-pleasing service on their travels to this beautiful and popular destination.”

Introductory fares, which include all transportation fees, surcharges and taxes, begin at US$350 each way for Denver-Punta Cana service. These intro fares are available at FrontierAirlines.com now through 9 June 2012, for travel to/from Punta Cana. Members of Frontier’s EarlyReturns frequent flyer program can earn double miles for every qualifying flight they take on the new Punta Cana route.

“Frontier’s new service announcement is good indication of the airline’s continued commitment to the Denver market,” said Kim Day, aviation manager at Denver International Airport. “This new route will be the first nonstop flight from Denver to the Caribbean and will open Colorado’s doors to a new country. Growing international service is one of our top priorities at DIA and we’re excited to add the Dominican Republic to the list of destinations we serve.”

The schedule for the service is depart DEN at 8:05am arriving at PUJ at 3:30pm, and the return flight is at 4:20pm with a return to Denver on the same Saturday at 8:30pm. Frontier will be operating on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft offering five rows of Stretch seating with an additional 5 to 7 inches of legroom and the airline’s new Select seating product, as well as 24 channels of DirecTV? with three channels of hit movies available at every seat.
