Spanish hotel chain Sirenis Hotels & Resorts is making a bid to grab the children’s crowd with the 1 March opening of its new Sirenis Aquagames Water Park at the Sirenis Punta Cana Resort in Uvero Alto, the northern section of Punta Cana.
The park covers an area of 12,000 square meters and consists of a swimming pool in the central area of the park, restaurant area, a 10-meter-high tower with two water tubes, two open slides, kamikaze and freefall twister, aqua-racer with its four-lane speed slides. There is also a themed Caribbean Pirates children’s area for 4-11 year olds with ten children’s water slides and four splash barrels. There is another children’s area for 4-11 year olds with water jets and sprinklers and a children’s swimming pool for 2-4 year olds with animal statues and water sprinkler. There is also a nursery on the premises.
The water park is open to tourists staying at other resorts and the entrance fee includes transportation, buffet breakfast and lunch, barbecue, water, soft drinks, juice, coffee and tea. Tickets for residents are RD$1,500 adults, RD$750 children, and for non-residents the rate is US$80 adults and US$48 children. For reservations call 809 688-6490, Ext. 617.
