The Weather Department (Onamet) forecasts that rains will continue this week due to a front that is moving this way from Cuba. An Onamet spokesman said that heavy rains would fall on Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 April nationwide, especially in the central mountain range, the north, northwest and northeast. He said Dominicans could expect hot and humid temperatures throughout the week.
