The Alfonso, Cabrera y Asociados polling company announced that in a poll carried out 19-22 April, Danilo Medina led with 50.9% of the vote to 45.8% of the vote for Hipolito Mejia. Guillermo Moreno of Alianza Pais received 2.2%, Eduardo Estrella of Dominicanos por el cambio 1%, and Max Puig and Julian Serulle of Alianza por la Democracia and Frente Amplio, would each receive 0.1% of the vote. The poll of 1,836 voters has a 2% margin of error.
