“Let’s Win the Race against Diabetes” is the slogan for a series of benefit runs to be held at the National Botanical Gardens on Sunday, 3 June. Funds raised will be used to carry out a media campaign to educate Dominicans on prevention and control of the disease.
There will be 5 and 10-kilometer races. Participants may register at the Runners Shop at Body Shop, Farmacia Carol and Uepa Tickets. The cost to run is RD$500 with children under 12 free.
