Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon reports meeting with President Leonel Fernandez on the margins of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the office of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the Secretary-General and President Fernandez discussed regional issues, including challenges to economic stability and investments. The Secretary-General also took the opportunity to thank President Fernandez for his support to neighboring countries, and for his leadership in addressing global food prices volatility.
