Maridalia Hernandez will be Dulcinea in the Dominican production of The Man of La Mancha, to be staged at the National Theater over the weekend of 10, 11, 12 August. The event commemorates the 39th anniversary of the National Theater. The legendary Maridalia Hernandez, best known for her days as a vocalist in Juan Luis Guerra’s 4×40 group, will play the lead female role in the production of the play by Dale Wasserman based on Don Quijote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes. This production by Fidel Lopez, directed by Maria Castillo, is the Dominican version of the musical that was first staged on Broadway in 1965.
