Riu hotel chain promotes its adults-only hotel

Spanish hotel chain Riu is promoting its recently remodeled Riu Palace Macao in northern Punta Cana as an adults-only resort. The 364-room resort is the first in the chain to offer this modality in the Americas and the Caribbean. The company has invested US$13.5 million in new decor for the rooms that include amenities such as flat-screen televisions, shower cabins and whirlpool tubs. In the food area, renovations and additions include the Cafe Cappuccino, Volare Italian restaurant, Pancho grill steak-house, Kabuki Japanese restaurant, Krystal fusion restaurant and the El Patio buffet restaurant. A new pool bar has replaced the children?s area, the Copacabana outdoor amphitheater was renovated and there is a new casino. Guests can also enjoy the spa services at the nearby Riu Palace Punta Cana and Riu Palace Bavaro. The resort?s shopping areas and the Pacha discotheque have also been remodeled.
