Dominican Week 2012 has begun in Washington, D.C. and the Dominican Embassy played host to a delegation of business representatives and government officials from the DR. Prominent among the visitors was Julio Brache, the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic and US Ambassador in the Dominican Republic Raul Yzaguirre. The business promotion event is now in its 28th year. Just last week President Medina met with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to renew the Dominican Republic’s positioning in relation to the USA now under the new administration.
