Ney Rosauro at the National Theater

Wednesday, 10 October promises to be an evening of different sounds, as Brazilian symphonic percussionist and composer Ney Rosauro takes the stage of the National Theater in Santo Domingo. Rosauro is known for his charming melodies that combine catchy rhythms as he uses the rich elements of Brazilian folklore to create compositions described as full of life and fantasy. The evening also stars percussionist Jean Carlo Urena. www.neyrosauro.com/video.asp?vnum=9l

That same evening, Dominican composer Hector Martinez Cabruja’s Prelude and Escape for string orchestra will be played.

The audience at the theater that evening will also be able to enjoy Claude Debussy’s “La mer” concert, a challenging classical music masterpiece that is on the program to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth. www.medici.tv/#!/claude-debussy-la-mer
