Four new Ambassadors present credentials

Yesterday, Wednesday 17 October, President Danilo Medina received credentials from four new ambassadors to the Dominican Republic at a ceremony at the Presidential Palace. They were Jose Marcus Vinicius de Sousa from Brazil, followed by Alejandro Jose Buitron Porras from Guatemala, Georges Boisse from Canada and Nelson Artola Escobar from Nicaragua. The President was accompanied by several high-ranking officials including the Vice President, Dr. Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez and Minister of Foreign Relations Carlos Morales Troncoso.

Each of the new diplomats then spoke for around ten minutes to outline their expectations and their interest in strengthening ties between their countries and the Dominican Republic.
