Sambil Santo Domingo, set to be the largest shopping mall in the Dominican Republic, will be opening 30 November. The owners of the mall announced the one-month postponement to give more time to store owners who are decorating their shops. Sambil is a Venezuelan investment of US$120-US$150 million and will have 195,000 square meters of construction area and 365 shops. Shopping mall spokesman Alfredo Cohen says that the secret of the mall’s success in Venezuela is that it is fun to go to the mall, which provides entertainment for all the family. The mall will be open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 9pm and Sundays and holidays from noon to 8pm.
