President Medina inaugurates Agora Mall

During the formal inauguration of Agora Mall in Santo Domingo yesterday, Wednesday 24 October, President Danilo Medina defended the tax reform bill that was sent to Congress on the grounds that it would ensure macro-economic stability in the country and help with the investment climate.

Medina toured the first floor of the mall, talking to small business owners and artisans and suggested that they get to know about the facilities under the new Program to Support Small Businesses (Promipyme). He highlighted the fact that the lowest interest rates are now available on loans to help develop their businesses.

During the inauguration, businessman and shareholder in Agora Mall Jose Miguel Gonzalez thanked President Medina and said that the strengthening of the small business sector was one of the President’s main objectives and that businesspeople should work together with the state to achieve this.
