Dominican merengue legend, 78-year old Felix del Rosario died on Friday night, 26 October at Plaza de la Salud, after suffering a heart attack. He was buried at the Puerta del Cielo cemetery. Speaking at the wake, Minister of Culture Jose Antonio Rodriguez told Diario Libre that Del Rosario was ” a genius of Dominican popular music, an exceptional saxophonist and human being. We can consider his legacy to be part of the Dominican people’s cultural heritage”.
