Puerto Plata and Punta Cana are getting ready for Merengue & Caribbean Beats Festivals sponsored by Brugal rum. Taking the stage at La Puntilla in Puerto Plata on Saturday, 3 November and at Bavaro Beach on Saturday, 10 November will be the Ministry of Tourism Folkloric Dance group and the bands of Diomedes y el Grupo Mio, Pochy Familia y la Coco Band, Kinito Mendez, Wilman Pena, Mozart La Para and Los Pepes. A DJ will be in charge of the musical warm-up. The company says that the events are intended to be a regular draw for locals and tourists alike.
