Onamet says more rains are due

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) is forecasting rains caused by the interaction between a frontal system and a low-pressure trough in the Caribbean. The frontal system is moving southeastwards and the low-pressure trough is moving to the northwest. The interplay between the two systems will bring rains to the northwest of the country, the Central Cibao Valley and the Central Mountains and to the northern slopes of the Septentrional Mountains. The conditions are expected to last into Friday, 2 November. There are warnings for coastal flooding as well as small craft advisories.
