Lots of baseball over the weekend

The Dominican Winter Baseball League Championship continues with lots of baseball over the long weekend, as the league seeks to recover from several days of suspension due to rainstorms.

The Estrellas won their ninth game, defeating the Escogido 3-2 in their home stadium in San Pedro de Macoris and continuing to lead in the start of the Dominican Winter Baseball League Championship.

Juan Francisco was the hero in Santo Domingo yesterday, Thursday 1 November, after batting in the winning run in the game where the Tigres del Licey defeated the Aguilas Cibaenas 3-2, putting an end to a string of three days of losses.
