The Alianza Pais political party, led by former district attorney Guillermo Moreno, is asking the Attorney General Office to investigate former President Leonel Fernandez, former director of the Public Works Supervisory Office of the Presidency (OISOE) Felix Bautista and former Minister of Public Works Victor Diaz Rua for embezzlement and breach of trust. The minority party is accusing the former government officials of violating the law of public credit and the budget. The Dominican Alliance Against Corruption (Adocco) has already filed a corruption case accusing Bautista of irregular handling of RD$12 billion when serving as head of the OISOE.
