Water supply restored today

The Santo Domingo Water Corporation (CAASD) announced that potable water service has begun to be restored in central Santo Domingo since last night, Monday 5 November. The service had been cut off to allow one of the main pipelines to be repaired. The major leak led to the disconnection of water supplies to many city sectors for more than four days.

CAASD director Alejandro Montas now says that another leak near the Alfareria Dominicana at Km. 11 of the Duarte Highway is in need of repair.
