Without even reading or reviewing it, this morning, Thursday 8 November the Chamber of Deputies fast-tracked the Tax Reform Bill that had been received from the Senate. The bill was drafted to increase government revenues by RD$46 billion and compensate for 2012 when the Leonel Fernandez administration ran up a RD$187 billion fiscal deficit.
The bill was passed with 103 votes in favor, 68 against and five deputies did not vote.
