On Monday, 12 November, the Estrellas Orientales and the Toros del Este played a make-up game, the only one scheduled for that evening. The Estrellas won a 15-6 slugfest and rolled into a tie for first place in the standings. Pitcher Bruce Billings was the winning pitcher for the Estrellas, his last effort for the team as his contract expires on Thursday, 15 November.
On Tuesday, 13 November Escogido continued its slide, losing to the surging Estrellas, 3-1 in the Estadio Quisqueya. This was the sixth loss in a row for the Reds, who are batting just .230 as a team. A home run by Nelson Perez and a pair of errors by the Leones’ infield accounted for the three runs by the Estrellas. In the Julian Javier Stadium in San Francisco de Macoris, the Gigantes del Cibao defeated the Tigres del Licey without a single hit by a score of 2-1. Pitching mistakes and errors in the tenth inning gave the Gigantes the winning run after a 0-0 game for the first nine innings. Licey scored in the top of the tenth with a homerun by Leonys Martin, but in the bottom half the Gigantes were gifted: ground ball to short-error, base on balls, ground ball to third-error, base on balls, base on balls. Result: Gigantes 2 and Licey 1. In the meantime over in La Romana, the Aguilas Cibaenas were handing the Toros del Este a whitewash, 6-0.
