Low-pressure trough brings rains

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reports that a low-pressure trough will be affecting the weather over the country during the first days of this week. There will be rains over much of the country, according to Onamet. Skies will be cloudy because of the large amounts of water in the atmosphere because of this low-pressure trough, especially over the Central and Eastern mountains, and the mountains in Neiba, Bahoruco and Los Haitises. Rains are also in the forecast for the Central Cibao Valley and the Caribbean Coast. You can expect rain showers throughout the day.
