President Danilo Medina returned to the Dominican Republic yesterday evening, Sunday 18 November and promptly announced that Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff is scheduled to make an official visit the country in January 2013. President Medina had traveled from Spain where he took part in the XXII Ibero-American Summit in Cadiz. When asked about his trip by reporters from Hoy newspaper he restricted his reply to a brief “Fine, thank you”. A small entourage that included the senator for Hermanas Mirabal (Salcedo) province, Luis Rene Canaan Rojas, Santo Domingo East mayor Juan de los Santos and businessman Jose Miguel Gonzalez, accompanied the President.
