Six people were injured, three seriously, following a traffic accident at Kilometer 9 on the Duarte Highway on Monday 19 November when according to witnesses a tire blew out on a minibus, the driver lost control and collided with the wall which divides the two sides of the road.
The injured, who were on their way to a prayer meeting, were identified as Hipolito Sosa, Esmerlin Tejada, Raquel Sosa, Jaqueline Payano, Carmen de la Rosa and Lissette Acevedo. According to reports, they suffered multiple fractures and were taken to Marcelino Velez Santana Hospital in Herrera, Santo Domingo West.
