Police Reforms commission formed

The Executive Branch has created the Presidential Commission for the Reform of the National Police with the objective of drawing up a plan for converting the force into a model for citizen safety and protection in step with modern times. The decision is contained in decree 650-12 which was issued yesterday, Sunday 25 November.

According to the disposition, the Presidential Commission for the Reform of the National Police will be chaired by Presidential Minister Gustavo Montalvo, and its members are Minister of the Interior and the Police Jose Ramon Fadul (Monchy), the Attorney General of the Republic Francisco Dominguez Brito, and National Police Chief, Major General Jose Armando Polanco Gomez.

The Presidential Commission will appoint a technical team that will serve to support the development and execution of the work assigned.
