Constitution to be taught in schools

The Ministry of Education and the Constitutional Court have agreed to add the Constitution to the educational curriculum at primary and middle school levels through seminars, discussions and workshops.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Education, Josefina Pimentel and the president of the Constitutional Court, Milton Ray Guevara, who both said that it was important for students to know about the Constitution as it contains information about their rights and responsibilities as citizens.

They also agreed that the Constitutional Court would work with the Education Ministry to train teachers and Pimentel said that everything was ready to start teaching the Constitution in 2013.
