The Police has identified 28-year old Martin Ventura and 21-year old Simone Arisleidy Pena as the couple murdered on Wednesday, 28 November as the woman was holding her baby. The 16-month old baby was splattered with the blood of the parents. After the crime, residents in Calle Curazao on the corner of Masoneria in Ensanche Ozama in Santo Domingo East took the orphaned baby out of the car and cared for it until the authorities arrived. As reported, the killer showed up when the couple was sitting in the vehicle and shot at them several times. The man died after being taken to the Dario Contreras Hospital, El Dia reports.
