Police catch shooter in Hungria case

The National Police has arrested the man accused of shooting 28-year old engineer Francina Hungria in the face during a carjacking last week. The police showed security videos of the incident and the suspect, who admitted his actions, said that he “was just trying to break the window to open the door.” Jose Manuel Vidal Feliz (Memin) was caught as he drove his car on Miguel Angel Baez Diaz Street. The Police also said that Jose Miguel Mora Acosta and Melvin Perez (Bululo) are involved in the case. Bululo had hired the gun used in the shooting. The weapon was stolen in December 2010 during a home robbery in the Ensanche Ozama in Santo Domingo East. The Police told Listin Diario reporters that Mora Acosta was driving the red Camry the criminals were using. The cops are also looking for Memin’s partner, Jose Manuel Arias Mejia (Bacanay) who has two previous arrests, including one for murder in 2005.
