Milton Morrison, the Executive Vice President of the Dominican Association for the Electrical Industry (ADIE) says that he is prepared to talk with all the players in the sector in an attempt to reach some sort of an agreement.
He said that as far as ADIE was concerned, the problem of the sector is structural, and involves everyone with each being a link in the process. He said that they accepted that the problem with electricity in the country was the responsibility of all involved: the generators, the transmission, the distributors and central government.
He emphasized that his team had analyzed the problem from all angles and had come up with concrete proposals that he was happy to give to the government for their analysis. Morrison added that he thought that it was encouraging that the Executive Vice President of the State Electrical Companies (CDEEE), Ruben Jimenez Bichara was also starting to set out his plans for the sector, as the exchange of ideas was fundamental to overall success.
