The customs collections for the year 2012 have totaled nearly RD$57 billion which is 91.8% of what was forecast in the budget. Since the totals for December are not included, the Customs Department (DGA) may still achieve their collection goals for 2012. Some analysts at the customs agency are saying that they might even surpass their goal of RD$62 billion.
