Casa de Teatro and Jazz en Dominicana present Cyrille Aimee and her Surreal Band on Saturday, 22 December at the Cafe Teatro in a special concert for music and culture lovers. The Dominican-French vocalist recently won the first prize in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition (21 October) and the album Junction with The Hot Club of Detroit in which she is the vocalist was voted No. 2 this year by Jazz & World Music. She is also a winner of the Vocal Jazz Competition of the Montreux Festival. Her band members are Assaf Gleizner (Israel) piano, Matt Simmons (USA) saxophones, Rajiv Jayaweera (Australia) drums, Sam Annin (Australia) on bass and Wayne Tucker (USA) trumpet.
